Intellectual property & other claims
IP, DMCA, and claims
How to report copyright or trademark infringement, store-brand issues, and other claims. Notices: corbin.craik900@gmail.com.
Effective August 24, 2026. ReturnIt, operated from Phoenix, Arizona, United States.
1. Intellectual property
If you believe content on ReturnIt infringes your copyright, trademark, or other IP, send a notice to the email below. We respond to valid notices and may remove content or suspend an account. Repeat infringement can mean termination.
2. DMCA-style copyright notice
U.S. copyright notices should include: (1) your signature; (2) the work claimed infringed; (3) the material on ReturnIt and where to find it (URL or receipt/trip id); (4) your name, address, phone, and email; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act. Counter-notices may be sent by the poster using the same elements required under 17 U.S.C. § 512.
3. Other claims
Privacy complaints, store-brand complaints, personal-injury or property claims, and billing disputes go to the same notice email. Include your account email, the date, and what you want us to do. Filing a notice does not guarantee a particular outcome. You should also contact the retailer if the claim is about their return decision.
4. User content
Receipt photos and notes are your content. You grant ReturnIt a limited license to store them, send them to the scan provider, show them to you, and show a runner what they need to complete a paid pickup. We do not use your receipts for ads. You can delete a receipt or your whole account.
5. Third-party brands
Walmart, Target, Costco, Fry’s, Best Buy, and other names are the property of their owners. Listing a store does not mean they endorse ReturnIt or that we act as their agent.
6. Laws, rules, and regulations
We designed ReturnIt to operate under U.S. and Arizona law as a small concierge: consumer privacy notices, copyright notice-and-takedown, independent-contractor treatment for crew, food-handler rules when groceries are on a ticket, and retailer policies at the desk. We do not represent that every permit, insurance endorsement, or future regulation is already in hand — beta is founder-run. You agree not to use the service in a way that violates law, including fraud, hazardous-materials transport, or underage accounts. We may refuse or cancel a job that looks unlawful.
7. Where to send notices
Legal, privacy, and IP notices: corbin.craik900@gmail.com. Operator: ReturnIt, operated from Phoenix, Arizona, United States. In-app: Settings → Privacy & data. Do not send a Social Security number or full card number to that inbox.
These pages are operational disclosures for a small Arizona concierge. They are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer, insurer, or accountant.
